Final Activity: "The Evolution of Photography – Interactive Exhibition" (Using Genially) I really enjoyed the Genially activity from Maria Angeles´s blogs I commented on. The interactive and visually appealing format made the content engaging and easy to understand. Inspired by this, I will design a final task using Genially with my students. 📸 Objective: Students will create an interactive digital exhibition using Genially to showcase the evolution of photography, from its origins to the modern selfie culture. 🔹 Stages of the Activity: 1️⃣ Group Formation & Topic Selection Students will be divided into small groups (3-4 students). Each group will focus on a specific period in photography history (e.g., Early Photography, Film Cameras, Digital Revolution, The Rise of Selfies). 2️⃣ Research & Content Development Groups will research key photographers, technological advancements, and cultural impacts of their assigned period.   Student Project on Genially – A Journey of Collaboration, Creativity, and Learning In this blog post, I’m excited to share the journey my students took while working on a collaborative project using the Genially platform. This tool was chosen for its interactive and visually engaging features, making it ideal for the creative goals we set. Let me walk you through the plan, group decisions, and the process of how everything unfolded. Stage 1: Choose Topic and Establish Groups The first step in the process was for students to choose a topic. We brainstormed different ideas together, and I encouraged them to focus on areas they found both interesting and relevant to their curriculum. The topics ranged from historical events to current trends in technology, all of which allowed them to explore and learn deeply. Once the topics were decided, students were grouped based on their interests. I created the groups in a way that balanced strengths and weaknesses. Some students were naturall...

Read this book made on StoryJumper Reflection on the Storyjumper Activity In this activity, I organized the students into small groups, aiming for collaboration and shared creativity. Each group had 3-4 members, allowing them to brainstorm and develop their own ideas for a story, which they later turned into a digital book using the Storyjumper platform. The idea was to foster teamwork and to give them the opportunity to express their creativity while working together. Sequence of Tasks: Introduction and Planning: We began by introducing the concept of creating a digital story, discussing key elements of storytelling like plot, character development, and the use of imagination. Students then brainstormed ideas and planned their stories in their groups. Story Creation: After planning, students used Storyjumper to write and illustrate their stories. They added text, chose illustrations, and designed characters and scenes that fit their narrative. Review and Edit: Once the stories w...

"Reflect of Reading habits"

Image
Looking at these images of people reading, I find myself reflecting on how my own reading habits have changed over time, especially as a bilingual reader. The types of books and texts people engage with can vary greatly depending on their purpose—some may be reading for pleasure, while others are studying or staying informed. This makes me think about my own choices when it comes to reading in my first language (Spanish) and my second language (English). One thing I’ve noticed is that my reading preferences shift depending on the language. In Spanish, I enjoy novels, essays, and opinion pieces because I feel more connected to the language and can appreciate the subtle nuances of expression. On the other hand, in English, I often read academic texts, news articles, and contemporary fiction. My choice is influenced by necessity as well as interest. Many resources for learning and research are in English, so I’ve adapted to reading complex texts in my second language. However, when ...
